My Indian Auntie Visits China59

My Indian auntie, Savitri, has always been fascinated by China. She's an avid reader of Chinese history and culture, and she's always wanted to visit the country. This year, her dream finally came true. She booked a two-week tour of China, and she asked me to join her.

We started our trip in Beijing, where we visited the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, and the Great Wall. Savitri was amazed by the scale and grandeur of these architectural wonders. She said that they were even more impressive than she had imagined. We also spent some time exploring Beijing's Hutongs, the narrow alleys that are home to many of the city's traditional houses and shops. Savitri loved the Hutongs, and she spent hours browsing the shops and talking to the locals. She even bought a few souvenirs to take home.

After Beijing, we traveled to Xi'an, home to the Terracotta Army. Savitri was awestruck by the thousands of life-sized terracotta warriors. She said that they were one of the most incredible things she had ever seen. We also visited the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a Buddhist temple that is one of Xi'an's most iconic landmarks. Savitri was impressed by the temple's beauty and the serene atmosphere that surrounded it.

From Xi'an, we traveled to Shanghai, China's largest city. Shanghai is a vibrant metropolis with a mix of old and new. Savitri loved exploring the city's modern skyscrapers and shopping malls, but she also enjoyed visiting the city's historical sites, such as the Jade Buddha Temple and the Bund. Savitri said that Shanghai was a city that had something to offer everyone.

Our final stop was Hong Kong, a former British colony that is now a special administrative region of China. Hong Kong is a unique city that blends Chinese and Western cultures. Savitri loved exploring the city's bustling markets and trendy neighborhoods. She also enjoyed taking a ferry to Victoria Peak, where she could enjoy stunning views of the city skyline.

Savitri's trip to China was an unforgettable experience. She was amazed by the country's beauty, history, and culture. She said that she had learned so much about China and its people. She also said that she had made many new friends and that she would cherish the memories of her trip for the rest of her life.

I was so glad that I got to share this experience with Savitri. She is a wonderful person, and I know that she will always hold a special place in her heart for China.
