Dear China National Tourism Administration,
I am writing to file a complaint regarding my recent experience with China CYTS Tours (Beijing) Co., Ltd. I booked a 10-day tour of China through their website in May 2023, which was scheduled to depart on August 15th, 2023. The tour included visits to Beijing, Xi'an, Shanghai, and Guilin.
Unfortunately, my experience with the tour was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival in Beijing, I was met by a tour guide who spoke broken English and had difficulty communicating effectively. Additionally, the itinerary was not as advertised, and several of the scheduled activities were either canceled or significantly altered.
For example, the visit to the Temple of Heaven in Beijing was replaced with a trip to a lesser-known temple, and the excursion to the Great Wall of China was cut short due to "weather conditions" that were not apparent at the time. Moreover, the hotel accommodations provided were far below the standards advertised, with dirty rooms and inadequate amenities.
I attempted to raise these concerns with the tour guide and the local CYTS office, but my complaints were met with indifference and excuses. It became clear that the company was more interested in rushing through the itinerary than providing a positive experience for its customers.
As a result of these issues, I was forced to cancel the rest of my tour and return home early. I am extremely dissatisfied with the service provided by China CYTS Tours and believe that they have breached their contractual obligations. I am therefore requesting the following:
A full refund for the cost of the tour, including all flights, accommodation, and excursions.
Compensation for the inconvenience and distress caused by the company's negligence.
An investigation into the practices of China CYTS Tours to ensure that future customers do not experience similar problems.
I am confident that the China National Tourism Administration will investigate this matter thoroughly and take appropriate action to protect the interests of tourists like myself. I urge you to address these concerns promptly and ensure that the company is held accountable for its actions.
